New Semester, New Experiences

Hello friends! I'm very excited because this is my first blog entry! I'm eager to share my experiences as I enter yet another semester of college. I've made a few big changes in the past few weeks that I'm excited to share!

Many of you know that I was a nanny for a little over a year. Though it was a great experience, I was ready for a change! I'm now serving at Tuscany Grill in Town Lake! My first day was actually yesterday. So far so good.. The challenge is going to be learning the menu and being able to multi-task. I'm very up for the challenge though! So.. in a few weeks or so (once I get the hang of things), you should come and request me to be your server! ;)

One thing I've been very indecisive about is choosing a major.  I decided to play it safe and pursue business management.  Science isn't exactly my forte, so I eliminated that pretty quickly. However, in the past few weeks, I've been thinking and praying over how my talents can be used for the glory of God.  I've always had a strong interest in nursing but didn't believe I could get through all those science courses! Through praying and encouragement from my family and friends, I decided to change my major to nursing. I have been back and forth, but feel very great about this decision! I love the many options in the nursing field and desire to help others!

Josh and I have now been together for about three years now! I can't believe how fast the time has gone by.. I can honestly say that it's been the best three years of my life.. We've both grown so much together and the Lord has been so good to us! Josh's birthday was this past Saturday and we had a great time celebrating! I'm very excited for what I have planned for us this upcoming Sunday. Pictures to come :)

These are the main updates as of now! I am blessed for the encouraging people in my life. The Lord has been too good to me. All glory to Him.  I wanted to share some thoughts and Scripture before I end..

One thing that I've been struggling with lately is patience.  It feels like I'm in a long period of waiting, and it gets hard to pursue patience & perseverance. When I feel like this, I know that I can always give my hopes and desires to the Lord. How awesome is that? No matter the circumstance, the Lord has us by the hand.

Psa. 27:14 "Wait for the Lord; Be strong, and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the Lord."

1 Corinthians 13: 4-7 "Love is patience, love is kind. I does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."

Romans 8: 24-25 "We were given this hope when we were saved.  If we already have something, we don't need to hope for it. But if we look forward to something we don't yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently."

I hope these verses were an encouragement! Have a great day and God bless!
